About CoPlay by Assagao House
CoPlay by Assagao House is an elite sports and lifestyle club in North Goa, home to premium padel and pickleball courts alongside a world-class wellness and social offering — gym, swimming pool, steam, sauna, recovery suites, pilates, restaurant, and bar. The club is anchored by a celebrated pilates coach and serves a discerning community of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and international expats who call Goa home.
This is not a typical sports facility. It is a social institution for a very particular kind of person — and everyone who walks in expects to be treated accordingly.
The Problem We're Hiring For
Specifically, what has been missing:
- No structured coaching programme for padel and pickleball despite strong member demand
- No regular events calendar — social tournaments, mixers, coaching clinics, brand evenings
- No racket and equipment shop tie-up for members despite obvious commercial and convenience opportunity
- Junior staff on the floor who are not equipped to handle the expectations and sensibilities of this clientele
- Reactive problem-solving instead of anticipating what members need before they ask
Role Overview
You will be the face of CoPlay at Assagao House — the person members know by name, trust with feedback, and associate with everything great about their time at the club. You own the full member experience: from the quality of court bookings and coaching to the vibe of a Saturday evening tournament and the seamlessness of a new member's first week.
Key Responsibilities
Member Experience & Relationships
- Be the primary relationship owner for all club members — know them by name, know their game, know their preferences
- Personally onboard new members and ensure their first 30 days set the tone for long-term engagement
- Proactively gather feedback and resolve member concerns before they become complaints
- Build and manage a member engagement calendar — regular touchpoints, check-ins, and personalised communication
- Act as the bridge between members and the club's wellness and coaching partners to create curated, exclusive experiences
Sports Programming & Coaching
- Design and launch a structured coaching programme for padel and pickleball — beginner to advanced, group and private
- Identify, onboard, and manage quality coaching partners who match the club's standard and member profile
- Organise regular in-house tournaments, social play sessions, and inter-club events
- Track member playing levels and match them to appropriate coaching and peer-play opportunities
Events & Activations
- Own the club's events calendar — social tournaments, themed evenings, brand activations, wellness events, and member milestones
- Curate events that feel native to this community — not generic, not templated
- Collaborate with the restaurant and bar team on F&B integration for events
- Identify and bring in relevant brand and lifestyle partnerships that add value for members
SOPs & Monthly Planning
- Build ground-up SOPs for every touchpoint of the member experience — court check-in, coaching onboarding, event execution, complaint resolution, guest handling, and more
- Own and publish a rolling monthly calendar covering all events, coaching sessions, social mixers, wellness activations, and member communications — shared with the team at least 3 weeks in advance
- Work backwards from each deliverable on the calendar — define what needs to happen week by week to execute without last-minute scrambles
- Review and iterate SOPs quarterly based on member feedback and operational learnings
- Ensure junior staff are trained against SOPs and held to them consistently
Commercial Initiatives
- Establish a racket and equipment shop tie-up — sourcing a brand partner, managing display, and driving member purchases
- Drive ancillary revenue through coaching programme enrollments, event ticket sales, and merchandise
- Identify upsell opportunities across wellness services (recovery, pilates, personal training) and present them naturally through relationship-led conversations
- Track and report member engagement metrics, churn signals, and programme revenue to CoPlay leadership
Team & Floor Standards
- Mentor and coach junior staff on how to interact with high-net-worth and international guests — tone, body language, anticipation, problem-solving
- Set and enforce service standards across the club floor in partnership with department heads
- Be present on the floor during peak hours — this is not a back-office role
